Hello from Norway!
Adding a new country to the list!
Never did I think sport would bring me to Lillehammer, Norway — but here we are. It’s beautiful, even if the sun only shows up for about three hours a day. It’s been cloudy and dim, but a cozy –1°C, so we’ll gladly take the “warm” weather, sunshine or not.
Two weeks ago, I raced in my first-ever Bobsleigh World Cup! It was pretty special pulling on the maple leaf again, but this time for a totally different sport. My main job is the start, and we managed the 10th-fastest push. Unfortunately, finished 16th, but still a solid debut.
My other important job? Pulling the brakes — which I executed perfectly. 😉

I had a week off in Germany where I loaded up on physio, massage, and chiro. The body is definitely feeling the switch to a higher-impact sport… and all those runs down a not-so-smooth ice track don’t help either!
Now, in Norway and found out I’ve been selected to race again this weekend — this time with a new pilot. The team is trying different pairings to see who can put together the strongest starts, so I’m hoping to prove myself and show I’m one of the top pushers.
After this weekend, we’re off to Latvia. I’ll be driving a big sled truck across Norway and Sweden to a ferry that takes us over — truly seeing the world one northern country at a time. 😂
I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for the holiday season.
And if anyone wants to follow along more closely, , has more information.
Take care!
