Hello from St. Moritz!
I may need to invest in a fur coat if I want to blend in here — this place is fancy! It’s absolutely beautiful, although I haven’t been able to see much of it yet after coming down with a bit of the flu while traveling from Winterberg, Germany, to Switzerland. Thankfully, I’m on the mend now and feeling much better.
I was selected to race again this weekend, and earlier in the week I wasn’t sure I’d be well enough to compete — but I’ve bounced back and I’m ready to go.

St. Moritz is the birthplace of bobsleigh and home to the only remaining natural track in the world. I got my first slide on it Thursday, and it was incredible. The first half was so quiet and smooth it was almost peaceful… then we hit about 130 km/h and things became a lot more exciting!
Back in Winterberg, it wasn’t our strongest race. We had the 10th-fastest start but ended up finishing 16th after a few unfortunate bumps slowed us down. But it’s a new place, a new track, and a new opportunity — and I’m excited to see what this weekend brings.
I’ll be racing with the same pilot as in Winterberg, which is great. She’s a strong driver, so hopefully we can put together a solid run and aim for a top-10 finish.

The points battle with Switzerland continues — our third sled versus their third sled — and we’re currently just four points ahead, so yes… no pressure at all 😅.
That said, I’m feeling good, my head is in a great place, and I’m excited to compete and hopefully lock in a spot on the team. A huge thank you, as always, for your continued support. It’s been a loooong season, but we’re almost at the end — and hopefully very close to qualifying those spots for Canada.
Take care and stay warm!
